A hand up, so a woman can stand on her own.
We work with women in Lagos and Ogun who are good at their trade but cannot afford to grow it. We help each one with what her trade needs: stock, tools or equipment. Then we stay close all through the year, and we show all of it here.
Àánú ni mo rí gbà, it is mercy I have received.
The work goes on all year
Everything we do, kept in the open
We launch on 5 November 2026 by helping twenty women, and the help goes on all through the year. The figures grow as the work does, and every one of them is kept here in the open.
Twenty women at the launch, and more to follow
Our target for the launch is ₦2,000,000. It is a figure to aim for, not a limit. Each woman is helped with what her own trade needs, whether stock, tools or equipment, and the more that is given, the more women are helped.
Only money received moves this figure. A pledge counts once the money has arrived.
How the help works
Chosen with care

She is helped with what her trade needs, whether stock, tools or equipment such as a sewing machine. The help is sized to her trade, not to a fixed sum.

I am turning 70, and the first thing in my heart is thanksgiving. So now that I have a little, I do not want to keep it to myself.
When I see that they are doing well, that is when I know I have achieved what I wanted.
Àánú ni mo rí gbà. It is mercy that I have received, and mercy is what I want to give.
I want people to come and celebrate me, and to go home with a good heart.
