Registering the Foundation
The Foundation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as an Incorporated Trustees body. What that means, told plainly.
The papers were filed, and the Foundation is now registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as an Incorporated Trustees body in Nigeria.
We want to be clear about why this matters. Registration makes the Foundation a proper body under the law, governed by a board of trustees who answer for how it is run and how every gift is used. It also lets us open the Foundation's own bank account, so that every gift is held in the Foundation's name and never in anyone's personal account.
The account details go on the Give page as soon as the account is open. The registration number goes on the governance page when it is added.
