A hand up, placed where it multiplies
We find women who are already trying at a trade. We check gently, through the people who know her, then help each one with what her trade needs. We do this all through the year, for as long as there are funds. We stay close as her trade grows.
Women already making a genuine effort
We serve women aged 30 to 60 in Lagos and Ogun State: a market trader, a tailor, a woman frying akara at first light. Each one is already at her trade and working hard. What holds her back is a lack of capital, nothing else. She is found and vouched for through people the community trusts, someone like a market leader or a church mother who knows who is really trying.
- A woman aged 30 to 60, living and trading in Lagos or Ogun State.
- Already at a trade of her own, making a genuine effort at it.
- Held back mainly by a lack of capital.
- Found and vouched for through trusted community hands.
Help sized to her trade
A well-placed sum lets a woman stock her trade properly and buy in bulk. The same goods cost less by the carton, so more of her money turns into margin. How much she needs depends on her trade. Some trades need a little, some need more. The capital is placed where it will grow.
For the 2026 launch we chose one figure for everyone, ₦100,000 for each of the first twenty women, so they all start together on equal footing. That is a launch decision, not a fixed rule for the foundation. In the years ahead the amount is sized to each woman's trade.

She is chosen on need and effort, the same care for every woman. Then she is given what her trade needs, whether money for stock or tools and equipment, to grow the work she already does.

The help does not end on the day
We follow up through the year as her trade grows. We come alongside her to see what is working and what she needs next.
And when she is doing well, we add more. One machine can become two, and an apprentice of her own.
A scholarship, in time
We are planning a scholarship programme, open to boys and girls, from primary school through university. When a mother is standing on her own, the next thing she wants is for her children to learn.
It is not yet formalised, and we would rather tell you honestly that it is coming than pretend it is already here. When it is ready, it will be run in the open, the same as the rest of our work.
A future intention, not yet openNow that you know how it works
You may know a woman who is trying hard but held back by a lack of capital. Put her forward. Or give, and help a woman's trade grow.
